well i have about 20 minutes, so i thought i'd fill y'all in on me :)
i have been having a *really* hard time with sleeping/staying awake. i'm falling asleep around 11:30 or midnight, and i have to wake up by 7 every morning to go to class at 8 on m/w/f and i eat breakfast with jo before her 8 am class on t/th. m/w/f, i have class from 8-10, then i work 10-12n, then i have class 2-4:30 (wed. i have class 2-6pm cause of my biology lab). after i get done with classes, jo and i work out for about an hour, go eat supper, then do homework/talk to boyfriends and family/talk and eventually pass out from exhaustion. t/th i work 9-12n, then class 12:30-3:20. i have a terrible time in a few of those classes staying awake. it's not that i'm not interested in the classes- i really love all of them- it's just physically impossible to stay awake- i literally close my eyes for a few seconds and i'm unconscious- not kidding, altho i wish i was. i've started drinking amp energy drinks BUT ONLY WHEN I REALLY NEED THEM 'cause they cost money- which i don't have. they seem to help, but i really really don't want to get addicted to them like others do *cough-m'lynn-cough* :)
on a bright note, i'm feeling better physically- i can now jog about 3 laps and keep up with jo- something that's harder than it sounds, believe me. my calf muscles have loosened up- we've started stretching before and after our workout- and i think that's been helping a lot. and it feels good :) we raced a lap- all out sprinting- and i kept about 20 feet behind jo, which felt good. we did learn, however, that the curves in there are WAY too tight to really go all out, so we probly won't be doing that again anytime soon :) but it was fun :)

well jordan and i have been keeping up with the workout routine- we did 230 crunches last night! i'm feelin' them today- but in a good way. when i clench my abs and stab at them with my fingers, i can feel them!!! for the first time in *ages*, i have abs!! :) they aren't visible yet (there's a layer of flub that's in the way) but i'm feeling better. our goal is to jog a mile (10 laps on the track) in a night, usually doing 2 laps at a time. we couldn't do that last night cause my calf muscles decided to stay really tight from monday night's workout. they're better now, but stairs still hurt. i gotta look like an old lady going down them- i can't really bend my knees cause my calves hurt so bad. i toughed out 4 laps last night- my out-of-shape mid-section was my doing in there, tho. we also did free-weights last night- feels good to work the biceps! they've been in need of some iron pumpin' :)
other than that, i don't really have that much to update on. just kinda gettin' settled into the routine again.

:D :D :D :D :D
i am so incredibly happy right now it's hard to slow down long enough to type the right letters so y'all can read and understand this!!!! :) you'll know why in a sec.
first of all- school is going GREAT. i'm almost done with the first week and i'm loving all my classes (so far). there's gonna be a few that will be tough, but i'm fairly certain that i'll survive :) a few of them are gonna be really really fun and i'm excited about where they're going. and i have some of the coolest profs at WSU :)
2nd awesome piece of news- i'm going to be the photographer for plainfield days this year!!!!!!!!!! :D i'm SUPER excited about it- it's the 2nd weekend in july. i'm working with melissa about this- she's my ex's mom, but she totally ROCKS- and we're gonna make 2012 calendars from the photos i shoot :) and any other ideas i come up with :) i am SOOOO EXCITED! now i really really really want summer to hurry up and get here!
i might have more good/exciting news coming soon, too! ;)
*sigh* but i can't get all caught up in that- i know i gotta focus on my schoolwork- that's what i'm here for, right?
jo and i have started working out- last night we did bike for 10 minutes, walked 3/4 of a mile and jogged the last 1/4 (it was a really light jog), did way too many crunches (meaning i'm not gonna do the math to add up the number of times we did them all), and we did some free weight work as well. it felt good- we're going again tonight, but when we get into a schedule, we've blocked out an hour at the gym 3 nights a week- M/W/F. our goal is to feel more confident and strong- not to get ripped. (that would be a nice bonus, tho ;) )

happy 2011!
well, i'm a little behind on the whole *happy new year* stuff, but there it is. i haven't really felt like blogging for awhile, but i'm making myself talk about stuff i'm feeling cause it's all a jumble and not making sense...ish. so here goes.
i'm not ready to go back to winona. there. i said it. i'm not really looking forward to this semester, mostly 'cause my schedule/classes aren't exactly what i wanted. but that's over- i can change it if i want to, but for now it's staying the way it is and i'm just gonna have to deal.
i'm also realizing how much i LOVE being home. really- i do. no one was more surprised than me when i got seriously homesick before thanksgiving break. i missed my family, my dog, my boyfriend, the security and comfort of home. i thought it would get better over christmas. wrong. now, here i am, only 2 days away from going back, and i still feel like it's the first day of break. yes, i get annoyed with my family. yes, there are times when i want to go back to living on my own. but no, i don't want to go back. i think part of it was that i spent soooo much time in my dorm room that that's all i'm remembering- that small space with only one window and my desk. i'm going to try to study in other places- the lounge, the basement, the commons, kryszko, the library. somewhere with more light and less distractions.
HOWEVER, when i break down the semester, i'll be at school for less than 5 months. and i'll be home at least once a month. and d said that he's gonna come visit more often. we'll see how well that works once spring planting gets underway and he's back to working 50-60 hours a week plus going to school. *sigh*
that's all for now. next stop- BED.
